Yuma Police Department Arrest Shooting Suspect

The Yuma Police Department says an arrest has been made in connection with a report of shots being fired last month. Police say 28-year-old Joel Valenzuela was arrested Wednesday in connection with the shooting on October 30th in the 1900 block of 47th Avenue. A verbal argument ensued after Valenzuela allegedly stopped the victim in his vehicle at a stop sign. Shots were fired after the victim drove away.
 
Valenzuela was booked on charges of four counts of Attempted Homicide, four counts of Aggravated Assault, four counts of Endangerment, two counts of Disorderly Conduct and Criminal damage.
