Yuma County Survey Says Residents Most Worried About Jobs, Road Maintenance, And Nighttime Safety In Business Areas

Yuma County residents are most worried about jobs, road maintenance and nighttime safety in business areas, according to a recent survey. However, residents generally have a positive perception of the county and think the county is doing a good job of providing services. The Yuma Sun reports that residents believe the county can improve in road maintenance, growth management and the sheriff’s office. Chris Tatham, executive vice president of ETC Institute, shared the results of the 2013 Residential Survey with the Board of Supervisors.
ETC has been conducting the survey every couple of years since 2007, giving supervisors a chance to get an “objective assessment” of what citizens think. The seven-page survey was mailed randomly to 2,000 households in the county, and 837 completed it, either by phone or return mail.
