A Yuma County man has been convicted on two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
The Yuma Sun reports that 40-year-old Christopher M. Cartier was sentenced to 36 years in prison after he confessed he wanted to eliminate his targets by shooting three rounds into a residence on East County Third Street in January 2012.
Cartier used a 30-30 rifle to fire three rounds inside the home. The two 18-year terms are to be served consecutively.
