The Yuma City Council will meet for their second monthly meeting for February tonight. The council will consider the hotly debated topic of moving the call to the public portion of the meeting to the end of the council meetings.
Currently the call to the public is one of the first agenda items. The council discussed the issue at their last meeting, but the motion failed for the lack of a second from city council members. Several have spoken against the move, citing the late time the call to the public would be – since the council is considering moving the agenda item to the end of the meeting.
The council is also expected to approve an agreement with the Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority for truck and bus washing services on an as-needed basis, for a one-year period, with a sole option to renew for four additional years.
The meeting starts at 5:30pm and will be held at the Yuma City Hall.
