Water Rates May Be Going Up In San Luis

waterThe City of San Luis has been told to raise utility rates in order to keep pace with current needs.

KYMA TV is reporting that the city is looking at ways to bridge a $373,000 deficit in the water and water treatment services budget.

Currently the rates are about $25 a month per customer less than the Arizona average.

If the increase is allowed, the city would be able to fund a $5.8 million infrastructure expansion project.
