Phoenix police say one person was killed Wednesday (30) after a lone gunman entered an office building and began shooting.
48-year-old Steve Singer died from injuries he sustained after 70-year-old Arthur Douglas Harmon walked into the office complex with a weapon. Police believe this was not a random act of violence.
According to court documents, Harmon was scheduled to go to a law office in the same building where the shooting took place for a settlement conference in a lawsuit he filed in April, 2012 against Scottsdale-based Fusion Contact Centers LLC, where Singer was the CEO.
The company had hired him to refurbish office cubicles at two call centers in California, but a contract dispute arose.
Harmon remains on the loose this morning (Thursday 31) and is considered armed and dangerous. Two other people were injured, one who remains in critical condition in the hospital.
