Arizona comes in at number 14 on a list of states where people say they lacked enough money to buy the food they need at some point in the last year.
That equals nearly 21-percent of the population, according to a report by the Food Research and Action Center.
There are many causes of hunger, but FRAC President Jim Weill says in most cases, a decent job is the cure.
The southeast and southwestern states are the two regions of the country where food hardship numbers are the highest, according to the report.
