Red Cross Volunteers Spread Fire Safety Awareness

Volunteers and members of the American Red Cross’ Grand Canyon Chapter were in Yuma on Monday (19) to spread awareness about fire safety and prevention. 

The program’s goal was to visit over 170 homes in the area to help spread the word and to make sure homeowners are properly protected.  Red Cross Communications Specialist Brian Gomez says it’s important to let homeowners know that someone is concerned about their safety.

The volunteer teams have also spent time this past weekend in several other areas of Arizona including, Phoenix, Cottonwood, Flagstaff and Glendale.
