Yuma, AZ — On Sunday, December 9, 2012 at about 07:37 am, Yuma Police Officers responded to a disturbance in the 2900 block of S. 1st Avenue.
Officers located Kenneth Spencer, 32 years old, in the 2800 block alleyway S. 1st Avenue with a stab wound to his face and rib area.
John Haynes, 38 years old, was also contacted in an apartment in the area and was found to have a head injury.
The initial investigation revealed Spencer was refusing to leave Haynes’ apartment and a physical altercation ensued. During the altercation, Spencer struck Haynes’ head with an iron skillet and Haynes responded by stabbing Spencer with a knife.
Both Spencer and Haynes were transported to YRMC. Haynes was treated and released and Spencer was admitted for further treatment.
No arrests have been made as the investigation is on-going.
