Police On The Lookout For Suspect In Attempted Car Break In

The Yuma Police Department says they are investigating an incident in which a male tried to break into a vehicle which a teen-ager was driving. Police say on Tuesday, August 13, in the afternoon, the victim told police while she was driving in the 1200 block of South Avenue “C”, she noticed she was being followed by a white colored Chevrolet Silverado pickup. When she stopped at the intersection of 12th Street and Avenue “B”, a male passenger jumped out of the truck and tried to get in her car. Police say the truck was driven by a Hispanic male, in his 20’s.He is described as having short hair. The passenger is described as a Hispanic male in his 40’s between 5’9 and 6’ tall with a medium build, short spiky hair and a goatee.

The Chevrolet Silverado was described as a newer model white lifted truck, with black and possibly some red lettering on the outside of it.
