A police officer in the southern Arizona town of Oro Valley has been released from active duty after being accused of theft.
Police say they are investigating a larceny from a Walmart store. Information was obtained that implicated on-duty police officer Mario Molina, who was involved in a separate larceny.
Molina is a 7-year veteran of the department. He was cited and released for a misdemeanor theft charge and police say they've begun an internal investigation into the case.
