Police Discover Neglected Teen After Arresting Three People On Drug Charges

The Wellton Police Department says they have information involving a parent of whom they say neglected a 17-year-old boy.  Police say the information was obtained as they were investigating an alleged drug abuse case. 

Police executed a search warrant at the residence in question on South Avenue 37-E Monday (31) morning.  Initially they were looking for drugs and drug related items. 

The mother of the teen, 33-year-old Carla Harris, 45-year-old Robert Holmes and 56-year-old Wayne Russell were all placed in custody.  Officers found the trio in possession of weapons, drug and drug related items. 

The home was without electricity and there was not any food at the residence. 

The 17-year-old boy was suffering from a rash and required medical attention.
