Police Agencies Stockpile Weapons In Response To New Legislation

Police agencies across Arizona are stockpiling weapons they used to scrap in response to a new state law designed to prohibit agencies from destroying weapons they confiscate. 

The weapons will now be used to sell or trade to licensed firearm dealers.  The law resulted as an effort to establish a statewide policy on the disposal of weapons collected through forfeiture cases by means of court orders.
