Officer Arrested For Drunk Driving

Authorities say a Phoenix police detective is on paid administrative leave and facing a possible charge of extreme drunk driving. Police say Detective Lori Demski was arrested August 11th after she was spotted driving near her home. A neighbor alerted authorities that the 36 year old Demski might be driving drunk. The Arizona Republic says Phoenix Municipal Court records show Demski is accused of extreme DUI, which indicates a blood-alcohol content of .15 or greater. The legal limit is .08.

Court records indicate that tests at the scene determined Demski had a blood-alcohol level of at least .02. Prosecutors are awaiting official toxicology results to show exactly how much alcohol Demski may have had in her system.
