Migrating Burros Causing Accidents Near Bullhead City

Authorities have set up two signs to warn motorists about burros in or near a roadway in Bullhead City after the animals have ventured off a mountain and have been involved in six traffic accidents there since December 2012. 

The signs urge motorists to be on the lookout for burros migrating off the mountains near Bullhead Parkway.  Six traffic accidents have resulted in the deaths of three burros and injury to one motorist. 

Authorities say about 20 calls about burro sightings have been made with accounts of burros on or near the roadway since December.
