Mexican National Serving Time At San Luis Detention Facility Reveals He Is A Suspect Of Murder Investigation In Los Angeles

An incident that began with the arrest and detention of an adult male by Yuma Border Patrol Sector agents November 1st, has become the subject of a murder warrant issued from Los Angeles County. Yuma Station agents arrested a Mexican national early this month for illegally entering the U.S. near Andrade. While serving 20-days at the San Luis Detention Facility, further record checks revealed he is a primary suspect in an ongoing murder investigation out of Los Angeles County. Sheriff’s Office detectives traveled to San Luis and interviewed the subject to confirm he is the main suspect they were seeking. Tuesday, a warrant for the subject’s arrest was issued by Los Angeles County. The subject will remain in custody until he can be extradited to California for trial.
