Man Charged With Pointing Gun At Police Officer Appears In Court

A man who attempted to flee from police and pointed a weapon at a police officer while he was trying to flee appeared in Yuma County Justice Court Tuesday. 

Martin Antonio Velasco faces two counts of aggravated assault after pointing a .22-caliber weapon at a Yuma Police Officer. 

He remains in custody on a $500,000 bond.
