January Was Among The Coldest Months On Record For Parts Of AZ

Last month was among the coldest Januarys on record in Flagstaff.  The Arizona Daily Sun reports that the monthly average temperature of nearly 24 degrees was the 16^th coldest.

The chilly temperatures last month came from a 5-day cold snap.  The cold snap between January 11^th and 15^th saw a record low of minus 18 degrees in Fort Valley on January 15^th and a record low in Flagstaff for January 13^th of minus seven degrees.
