Arizona Governor Janice Brewer was in Yuma Thursday (24) to give her annual State of the State Address at Arizona Western College. One of the points she focused on was the Obama Health Care bill. Governor Brewer has been a staunch opponent of the reform bill. She says Arizona has joined other states in opposing the reform.
Brewer says she hopes to expand health care benefits to an additional 300,000 low income Arizonans through the state Medicaid program. She said voters have approved such a program twice. However it will not cost taxpayers anything.
The governor also held a press conference later on Thursday (24) to outline more information about her idea to expand Medicade benefits in Arizona.
