Future Of Yuma Desert Rats Uncertain

The America West Baseball League team the Yuma Rats are no longer in existence.  The Yuma Sun is reporting the team was hoping to become a professional team, but fiscal issues make that impossible. 

The team did not play a game in the 2012 season.  The winter leagues started this week, however Yuma was not included.  Team owners are unsure about the status of summer league games.
