Fugitive Convicted Of Sexual Assault Arrested At Nogales Port Of Entry

A Jordanian national was arrested at the Nogales Port of Entry on Tuesday.  Officials say Al Momani was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in Illinois for sexual assault from an incident in 2009.  

Momani fled the area and was found guilty and given a $1-million bond in Illinois.  In early 2011, officials say they found his location in Mexico. 

When he went to the Port of Entry in Nogales, he was arrested on the charges on Tuesday. 

He is in police custody in the Santa Cruz County Jail, awaiting extradition back to Illinois.
