The city of Yuma will now have curbside pick up of recyclable materials. The council voted in favor of the long awaited service on Tuesday (16) night. The vote was in favor 6 to 1 with Mayor Alan Kriger voting against the proposal. Kriger stated his reasons for not voting for the issue.
Several people came forward and spoke in favor of the recycling program. Mayor Kriger stated that the program is voluntary for any of the 21,000 households in the city.
