Girls Scouts Place Memorial Crosses Alongside Yuma Proving Grounds

A local Girl Scout troop will placing three memorial crosses alongside the Yuma Proving Ground's Laguna Dam Road on Monday. Over 25 memorial/remembrance sites are located at the Yuma Proving Ground and the three crosses will replace crosses that have deteriorated over time. A dust storm closed a 14-mile stretch of a state highway in the Casa Grande area for nearly three hours after multiple car accidents. Gasoline prices at the pump around Arizona are lower again this week. Officials with AAA Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is at $3.35 a gallon.
