Grand Canyon Reopens For Seven Days

The Grand Canyon is welcoming tourists back after Arizona struck a deal with the federal government to reopen the national park. Crews began removing closure signs, opening restrooms and restocking Saturday morning. The first gate opened just before 6am. Fire Breaks Out Near Gateway Park

Firefighters responded to a blaze near Gateway Park Friday evening. The Yuma Fire Department went to the scene to assist the Winterhaven Fire Department. During the blaze, YFD shut down the Ocean to Ocean bridge, because of the fire's proximity, but it was eventually re-opened.
