Anti-Tobacco Coalitions Head To State Capitol


A team of Pima County middle school students are taking their anti-tobacco efforts to the State Capitol. They will be among more than 250 students meeting with legislators Tuesday to push for health and wellness improvements. Home sales are up around Tucson, but prices are flattening-out. Data from the Tucson Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service shows home sales jumped 12-and-a-half percent over the last two months. Obama Expected To Sign New Rule On Overtime


President Obama will soon sign an executive order that will give more Americans overtime pay. The order will direct the Labor Department to reconsider the salary threshold for managers and supervisors that dictates whether they get overtime. First-Time Jobless Claims Down


First-time unemployment claims are falling. The latest Labor Department report out this morning shows 315-thousand new claims for unemployment benefits were filed in the week ending March 8th. That's down nine-thousand from the previous week. Today's report is slightly better than economists had forecast. Most analysts had been expecting to see about 330-thousand initial claims.
