United Blood Services To Hold Valentine’s Day Luncheon

United Blood Services will hold a luncheon celebrating Valentine’s Day on Friday at the Yuma Golf and Country Club.   Yuma area donors have provided blood services to 7,000 persons.  Last year, 26 organizations hosted 54 blood drives in Yuma County.  The luncheon will begin 11:30am.  Yuma Mayor Alan Krieger is the keynote speaker. Illegal Alien Accused Of Murder Stopped At U.S. Border

The El Centro Sector Border Patrol says they have arrested an illegal alien accused of murder in the U.S.  The unidentified 41-year-old male was convicted of murder in 1991 and had his Lawfully Admitted Permanent Resident Card revoked and was deported to Mexico in 1995.  He was found going through a Border Patrol checkpoint on Highway 86 Saturday night.  He was ... Brewer Declares An Emergency After Frozen Pipes Cause Water Shortage
