Bank Robbery Suspect Behind Bars

Police say a suspect involved in an alleged bank robbery last month is now behind bars. 

39-year-old Christopher Montiel of Maricopa was arrested on other charges, not stemming from the robbery of Mohave State Bank on South Fourth Avenue in Yuma on December 11^th, 2012.  Montiel admitted to the robbery during an interview with police Thursday (3).  Montiel walked into the Mohave State Bank, handing a note to a teller demanding money.  Montiel did not show a weapon and left the bank without money, fleeing the area in a vehicle. 

Montiel is in custody in the Pinal County Detention Center awaiting transfer to Yuma County.
