Man Shot After Allegedly Breaking Into Yard


The Yuma Police Department says they responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of East Country Club Drive early this morning (Friday 7).  Officers found a male subject who was shot after attempting to break into a residential yard.  He was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  Police continue to investigate. Woman Found With Gunshot Wound Dies


‚ÄčOn Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at approximately 8:05 a.m., Yuma Police Officers responded to the 100 block S.10th Avenue in reference to shots fired. An adult female was found with a gunshot wound. Controlled Burn Underway

Schools Lockdowns Lifted, Police Still Searching For Suspects


The Yuma Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred at 1st Street and Madison Avenue this morning (Friday 22). Suspect Flees From Officers, Remains At Large


At approximately 5:30 this evening, Yuma County Sheriff's Office and YPD were searching for a Hispanic male who fled from officers. It was originally believed the suspect was in the area of Camelot Apartments, however officers searched the area and came up empty. During the search, residents were urged to stay inside.
