Police Chief Stabbed, Another Man Killed During Weekend Incident


The Cocopah Police Chief was stabbed during an incident in which one person was killed.  The Yuma Police Department says the incident occurred Saturday morning at the Rio Santa Fe Apartments on West 12th Street.  When police arrived at an apartment, they found the body of Josh Collins.  Collins was found to have died from a gunshot wound.  Joe Franklin ... Young Woman’s Body Found in SUV


icePolice are trying to determine the cause of death of a woman in Yuma.  Deputies responded to the 8200 block of Yavapai Lane Sunday and found the body of a 19-year-old woman in an S-U-V parked on the street.  It is unknown how long the body may have been there.  Sheriff's officials have not released the identity of the woman ... Four Indicted on Tax Fraud Scheme


A federal grand jury has indicted four people, including a prison inmate and two ex-convicts, in a tax fraud scheme. Phoenix television station KPNX says that false tax returns were filed in the names of 22 prisoners.  Federal officials said Michael Egger, Joseph Murray and Samuel Hamilton provided names, Social Security numbers and birth dates of inmates to Kristi Marie Ramsey ... Details Released on Phoenix Shooting That Left 4 People, 2 Dogs Dead
