AWC Basketball Teams Rebound For Losses

The Arizona Western College basketball teams have rebounded from their losses last week, in beating Cochise Wednesday.  The men beat 21st ranked Cochise 66-to-61 behind Marvin Whitt’s 26 points.  Whitt buried four three-pointers in the win.  The women beat Cochise 63-to-56 Wednesday.  The Matadors and Lady Matadors next take on Phoenix College Saturday at home.  Tip-off is 5:30pm and both ... Food Bank Launches Campaign To Raise Money And “Messages Of Hope”

The Yuma Community Food Bank kicked off their 2013 campaign by announcing they hope to raise $1.5 million.  The campaign will continue through November.  Yuma Community Food Bank President Mike Ivers says there is more needed than just money though. Yuma PD Looking For Witnesses To Two-Car Collision

Fire Destroys Yuma Home

A home was destroyed Tuesday night in Yuma.  The Yuma Fire Department says the home was located at the corner of Avenue “B” and 24th Street.  It was fully involved when officials arrived.  No injuries were reported.  The American Red Cross has provided assistance to the two adults living at the residence. Talks Continue Between Bus Workers’ Union And Transportation Officials

Brewer Calls For Tougher Border Security

Wellton Man Faces Felony Charges After Breaking Into Ex-Wife’s Home

A Wellton man who allegedly tried to break into his ex-wife’s home has been formally charged in Wellton Justice Court.  69-year-old Larry Noll’s bond was set at $100,000.  Noll is charged with felony counts of disorderly conduct, burglary with domestic violence, misconduct involving weapons and resisting arrest.  Police found Noll on the porch of the residence Saturday night with a ... Yuma Police Investigate Attempted Murder
