Insurgent Who Killed Yuma Serviceman Is Dead

An insurgent who was responsible for the death of a Yuma serviceman, is now dead himself.  NATO describes the insurgent as Mahmood who died last week following a NATO led operation in eastern Kunar.  Officials believe he killed U.S. Army First Lieutenant Alejo Thompson in May, 2012.  He was based in Fort Carson, Colorado. Foothills Motor Home Destroyed In Fire

A fire destroyed a motor home in the Foothills Saturday.  Officials say the home was fully engulfed when they arrived just after 4pm Saturday on Far West Avenue and 34th Street.  No one was injured.  Two nearby homes also sustained minor damage.  The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
