Court Upholds Ruling In Favor Of Day Laborers


An appeals court has upheld a ruling that prevents police in Arizona from enforcing part of the state's 2010 immigration enforcement law that prohibited people from blocking traffic when they seek or offer day labor services on streets. Yuma Police Arrest Man Wanted In California


The Yuma Police Department aided in arresting a person wanted in California.  Police say 19-year-old Christian Samuel Frias was wanted in connection with a January armed robbery.  Police were tipped off that Frias was staying with his girlfriend in a residence on South First Avenue.  A vehicle matching the description of Frias’ car was located on Thursday leaving the residence ... Two Victims Shot During Mugging

Yuma Man Arrested After Crashing Car, Leading Police On Foot Chase


The Yuma Police Department got more than they expected when they conducted a traffic stop on Saturday afternoon.  Police tried to pull over 28-year-old Marcos Medina.  However, after he was stopped, Medina pulled away.  Medina was stopped after his vehicle collided with another parked vehicle, damaging it and another nearby motor scooter.  Medina then led officers on a foot chase.  ...
