The trucks have arrived with their precious cargo and support staff members from Alcatraz Cruises, a concessionaire for the National Park Service and crews are busy unloading and installing the exhibits for "Alcatraz: Life on the Rock" at the Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park.
The exhibit opens to the public Saturday (12). The idea behind the traveling exhibit is to get the many fascinating stories about Alcatraz to a broader audience, rather than only to those who can make the trip to the iconic site in San Francisco Bay.
The Quartermaster Depot is open from 9am-5pm, seven days a week through the winter months, and the Alcatraz exhibit is included in the $4 adult admission price. The exhibit will be in Yuma through April 14th.
